Simulation Modelling of Roof Design of Indonesian Airport Terminal For Optimal Utilization of Cooling Energy

The airport terminal is one of buildings with complex energy needs. Most the terminals in Indonesia are designed regional architectural features, such as pitched or joglo roofs and exterior wall materials made brick paint finish. new modern characteristics flat curved outer walls Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP). difference shape, material, size fenestration affects thermal performance building cooling used. purpose this study to evaluate influence roof designs on that have different use energy. effect design analyzed by using Design Builder simulation. simulation results show combination red tile concrete insulation Indonesian has lowest performance.
